Bio
I’m a fine art photographer who passionately challenges traditional perceptions through my lens. I suppose my artistic journey is to capture the intrinsic beauty of the human form. I hope by rejecting conventional notions that equate nudity with sensuality, vulgarity, and shame, my work encourages and emerges as a celebration of raw authenticity. There simply is no sexual sub-text to be extruded from images of nude bodies. I think the sexual aspect of nudity is in the confidence and conviction to stand vulnerably and proud in the most natural and exposed way.
With a commitment to breaking down barriers, I embrace the human body as a canvas of emotion, surrealism, and beauty. I only hope this unconventional perspective resonates throughout my portfolio. Utilizing Epson printers, inks, and papers, I immerse myself in every step of the creative process from inception to the final form — print. Thanks to my job in large format custom printing, I have access to not only professional printing equipment, but a CO2 laser cutter, and a full wood shop as well. This hands-on process feeds my technical prowess and reflects the deep connection I forge with my artwork.
In the world
I have had the honor to be featured in both local and international galleries / shows. The largest scale yet has been an international solo exhibition I called “A Little Stretch of The Mind” at Terrescalli Gallery in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico. I was honored, and very pleasantly surprised by how well received the collection was in the contemporary fine art scene.
